Actually, Mike Cunt, Exploderers with OTHER tires were also tipping over in an alarming rate. There were Ford internal memos that questioned the safety of Exploderer design, which led to several lawsuit wins against Flips OveR Dead. I do not killfile nor use do-not-call lists.

Man, are you fucking stupid or what!? It is *WELL* known in the automotive industry, that Ford Explorers are prone to roll over…even more so that their counter parts. > That may be your opinion but it is not true

Sorry moron, that’s a *FACT*. > and not veritable > the the court records. > mike hunt

Your a complete idiot. There doesn’t need to be any "court records" to document vehicle behavior or problems. Early Hondas had a problem with the main power relay…oh wait! Never mind! It must not be true because there are no "court records" saying so! More proof you know nothing about what you say. Get out.

It was an article at MSNBC.com.  Last time I checked the archives (about a year ago) it was still there, saying the same thing.  You’d think they would have been sued by now if there wasn’t some truth to it.  If you check the msnbc archives, you’ll probably still find the article there.  Do some research before you comment, eh?? – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> > > Anybody know if Honda Canada has (or will) replace/recall vehicles with > > > Firestone Tires? > > Why would they unless there is some major disaster that befalls Hondas > > specifically caused by Firestone tires? > > Are you thinking of the Ford Explorer problems?  That problem does not > apply > > to cars, only overweight high center of gravity SUVs that were spec’d with > > under-capacity tires which were then improperly inflated while being > > (mis)driven by idiots. > What’s really funny is that the Explorers had a higher failure rate with the > tires that replaced the Firestones!

Response:

Anybody know if Honda Canada has (or will) replace/recall vehicles with Firestone Tires?

Response:

Why would Honda recall tires? I do not killfile nor use do-not-call lists.

Response:

> Anybody know if Honda Canada has (or will) replace/recall vehicles with > Firestone Tires?

Why would they unless there is some major disaster that befalls Hondas specifically caused by Firestone tires? Are you thinking of the Ford Explorer problems?  That problem does not apply to cars, only overweight high center of gravity SUVs that were spec’d with under-capacity tires which were then improperly inflated while being (mis)driven by idiots.

Response:

> Anybody know if Honda Canada has (or will) replace/recall vehicles with > Firestone Tires?

They don’t have any problem other than being cheap and crappy. They will not recall unless lots of them blow and kill people. And the previous cases (other tires and other makers) showed us that even then, it takes some time before they do something. They know very well that they are crappy and wear very quickly, they got exactly what they paid for to save some money. I sold my 2001 Civic after 18 months and the tires were finished after only one summer (drove 2 winters with winter tires).

What’s really funny is that the Explorers had a higher failure rate with the tires that replaced the Firestones!
