Radio Display Issue – Do It Yourself FIX
Question:
This seems common on older CD players. I’ve had old portable CD players that would never "find" the CD if the temperature was under 25F or so – even if plugged in. I think the only way to fix your problem is to find a more modern CD player. I haven’t heard this problem on the 93-94 CD players (which have about a 99% chance of being compatable with your wiring and original amplifier), which should be a dropin replacement. You could also go aftermarket, but that kinda opens a can of worms if you’ve got the JBL system with the subwoofer. JS

Jeff, No, the problem that I have a fix for is for the display panel going blank. All the lights go off the front display. I have heard from a lot of people having the CD problem on the 6CD changer, unfortunately at this point I do not have a do-it-yourself fix for that.
