Chilton or Haynes?
Question:
Lookin for a good overall service manual for the Ford Explorer 1994 XLT? Any recommendations? ps its for someone who’s a bit illiterate when it comes to car maintenance, but would like to learn… Cheers
Response:
I have a Chiltons for my 1996 and it’s pretty good. I think it’s fairly easy to read for someone who’s a bit illiterate when it comes to car maintenance.
It’s a pretty comprehensive manual. r/ -IanCT

Response:
Another choice would be "none of the above". I got the official factory workshop manual on eBay. It’s about 4 inches thick in a three-ring notebook and virtually tells you everything you would ever want to know.
